Hi, I’m Bhavna.

I’m a Trauma-Informed Counsellor and Energy Therapist with an MA in Counselling Psychology (accredited by the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy), and extensive training in Energy Healing from The Energy Healing Institute in Washington and Psychic Horizons Centre in Colorado.

My approach is rooted in a profound understanding of trauma-informed care and evidence-based counselling, coupled with the transformative power of energy healing. By adeptly blending these methodologies, I facilitate healing experiences that resonate with both the conscious and subconscious realms of peoples’  minds, fostering faster and more profound shifts in their lives while addressing their holistic well-being.

My expertise lies in harmonizing the spiritual and scientific dimensions of healing. I foster an environment of trust, where clients feel seen, heard, and empowered to explore the depths of their identity, experiences and belief systems without fear or hesitation. My commitment to creating a warm, yet professional atmosphere ensures that each individual embarks on a journey of healing that is both grounded yet transformational.

In addition to my professional pursuits, I’m a neurodivergent third culture kid who finds joy in movement, building relationships, and going down many a research rabbit hole. I’m currently based in Montreal, and have also lived in Dubai, England, Hong Kong and Kuwait -  giving me a unique perspective that enriches my work and connects me more deeply with people from all walks of life

    • MA in Counselling from the University of Manchester (accredited by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy).

    • Certified Energy Healer with the Energy Healing Institute.

  • As someone who’s neurodivergent and highly sensitive, energy work has helped me organize my inner and outer life in a way that feels authentic, pleasurable and powerful. I am in touch with my agency, as well as my joy. As a trauma survivor, it has helped me cultivate more safety for myself than was accessible to me for many years.

  • I believe strongly that everybody has the right to experience hope, deep joy and immense satisfaction as they move through their lives, even if, and especially if, their work or life circumstances take them to difficult places regularly. I am lucky and persistent enough to have stumbled upon a combination of modalities that allows me to offer others a way to create this kind of hope and joy in their lives.

  • I work in a way that is non judgmental, curious and compassionate. I promise you nuance, a container within which to gently acknowledge and release difficult emotions, and an individualized healing strategy that makes sense for you.

My unique vantage point as someone who lives between multiple cultures and identities allows me to hold space for your particular context. All parts of you are respected and taken into account when we work together. All your identities are welcome here.

I work in a trauma informed way which centers consent, and apply a decolonialist lens to all the work.

I believe that centering pleasure and connection with integrity leads to profound discovery of your authenticity and ability to create a fulfilling, purpose-filled life.

I also believe our context impacts us, and healing doesn’t take place in a vacuum. In addition to doing the internal work, it is necessary to acknowledge the external structures at work, the impact they have and the interplay between personal and collective healing.

While this is not therapy, I use my background as a therapist to inform the work I do. The frameworks within which the healing is situated are psychological as much as they are spiritual.

I am very aware of cultural differences and access needs. I use my unique vantage point as someone who exists between many cultures and identities to create new ways of viewing traditional healing that include those that have historically been left out of these spaces.
